Happy 4th!

Honestly, I can't think of a more lazy and rather unpatriotic 4th of July. The West Coast Stricklands were tired...and we spent the day relaxing in jammies! No joke. We skipped a fun kid parade with the cousins down in Hermosa Beach, a fun block party just two blocks away that included food, bounce houses, etc. and promised to be loads of fun for kids and adults and we even managed to miss the grand finale of the fireworks which we can see from our block. What we did manage to accomplish was: a great breakfast with Rupert (who came down the night before for dinner/drinks), Norah peeing in the potty (who knows if this will happen again, but she did it on her own!), lots of sister bonding time (see pixs below - Dave walked into the room to find Norah sitting behind Mae playing!), a fun evening bike ride for Norah and dad to Cold Stone to get yummy ice cream, a late stay up night for Norah which included her first fireworks show (only to be met halfway through the show with a "home daddy") and ending the 4th with Mae up all night. Awesome!

I will leave you all with this notable quote:
Kirstin: Hey Norah, today is the 4th of July. That means it is America's birthday. Happy Birthday America!
Norah: NO!!! Happy Birthday Norah! (smile)
