Kids really are amazing little and insightful creatures. Over a month ago, I posted about Norah's love for art after a visit to the Getty museum. This past weekend we ventured up to Papa & Uma's house and although not a "museum", it is a place full of wonder and fascinating color, art and adventure, especially for little ones. Norah spent the weekend exploring, running to the kitchen full speed at the top of every hour to see the little bird sing his coo-coo song and admiring the Frida Kahlo silk throw on the bed in Norah's room. Norah was taken with Frida. She would stand and stare at her mysterious face from her crib and would run over to her and hug her when we got her out. It was on the second day we were there that she excitedly ran over and pointed and said, "Necky". Confused, I asked her "What did you say??" "Necky." Seriously? "Unkel...Necky." It was confirmed, Norah was pointing at Frida and saying Uncle Nick. It was one of those moments as parents when you just can't help yourself. I fell down to her level, laughing so hard at the sweetness of the moment. She laughed too. Then proceeded to throw herself, arms open at Frida. We emailed this pick to Nick with the news. He too laughed and was quite amused. Uncle Frida is not soon to be forgotten. Sorry Nick.
