Hell Update

After digging out part of our wall, the dead animal was found. It was a rat...and it was disgusting. The smell still lingers.  Mae woke up this a.m. with a 102 fever.  These aren't exactly the trials of Job, but they more or less exceed our threshold for tolerable bulls**t considering the cumulative impact of everything else that the family has gone through lately.  Okay, enough feeling sorry for ourselves.  Today is a new day, a better day.  Through the power of PMA (positive mental attitude), these are things that WILL happen today:
1. Mae's fever will break
2. Nana will have a safe and quiet flight back to the East Coast
3. Kirst and I will both have good sessions with the trainer today that will not leave us fatigued and broken for the next full week
4. Norah will drop the constant refrains of "no" and "mama" for "yes" and "dada" (this is, in fact, quite unlikely)
5. Good sleep for the kiddos (9 straight hours last night out of Maesie!)
6. A-Rod's head will spontaneously combust and unite the Yankees in a way his presence never could have
7. Nice long walk in the  with the whole crew this afternoon
7. Perhaps some stillness and vino for dada and mama later on tonight

We are pulling for you guys...your trials are the thing of legend and may your strength and the hope for strange A-Rod phenomenon with pull you through.

Sincerely,
Job (aka tbone, bbone and jbone)
