1. Norah woke up from her nap after just a little over an hour - normal these days. she was making her whines to come get her and the occasional frantic "mom" calls as she usually does. i was finishing up with some laundry so decided to let her rest for a while as she woke up. Not sure what made me go in to her room suddenly, but felt the urge to drop what I was doing and go in. Low and behold, there was Norah, jack-knifed over her railing and stuck with her head dangling over, the top of the railing jammed into her tummy, feet off the bed, too high to get back down. She had herself far enough over the railing to not be able to get herself back into bed but not far enough to fall head first on the floor. AWESOME! Let the bed escaping begin.
2. About 15 minutes after the 'great escape' attempt, I was in the kitchen with Norah and Mae. Mae was what I thought safely in her bouncey chair on the floor. Well, in about 30 seconds, Norah had propelled herself up on the built in kitchen nook bench and rolled the mini-watermelon down the long table and off on to Mae!!! It was the loudest thud and I have no idea where it hit Mae, but after a one second startle cry, Mae was all smiles again and laughing - with the watermelon between her legs/feet. What a bruiser.
3. I have deposited my sick and crazy Norah next door at the Katskees. The lovely Kendall offered me some relief....fingers crossed she returns home without breaking herself or anyone (or thing) next door.
4. Other fun things Norah is doing:
-Saying her ABCs (repeating after mama or dada)
-Trying to breastfeed her dolls (or Mae)
-Always calling for Mae when she wakes up, about 100 times in a row.
-Always kissing Mae, snotty nose and all
-Taking a bath with Mae now (Mae in her mini blue tub in the bath with Norah) and Norah singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat over and over while pushing Mae back in forth in her blue tub. Mae hasn't gotten seasick yet, but it is only a matter of time.
