a desert christmas

Well, this is rather tardy! I must say the holidays and new year have rendered both Dave and me completely unconscious. Still basking in the shadow of holiday glow, we find ourselves happy and more exhausted than we have ever been. It is strange how all the sleepless nights and life with 3 kids, 3 and under has finally caught up with us. Our stamina is LOST and we are in search of a resurgence of energy in 2011. Without further ado, here we are catching up. Below you will find a collection of photos from our amazing week vacation to La Quinta (Palm Springs area) where we spent our Christmas and part of the holiday with Nana and Uncle Nick. What a wonderful retreat it was from our everyday life here in LA. It has been years since we have been away and even though it was at times extremely overwhelming with all the little pitter patters of feet in a foreign home, we were surrounded with nature's beauty and a location that is dear to our hearts. La Quinta is where Dave and I were married (in the very community where we stayed) and the place my parents retired. Grandma Karen's spirit was definitely amongst us there.
